[In The Beginning]
Deep in the heart of Devon where the cider flows but the sophisticates are yet to show, two talented Mixologists, Rachel Williams and Clare Trier answered the call to transform bar culture in the South West.
Rachel initially started as a waitress in Kino (Hotel Barcelona’s renowned Cocktail Bar). She worked up the ranks, honing her skills and falling in love with the history of spirits and mixing. Upon being promoted Bar Manager she made Kino into a successful, nationally acclaimed bar, steering it towards the South West Cocktail awards and deservedly winning first place.
Her Partner in crime, Clare, started her career in Starz Lounge Bar where she was top of the monkey tree. She was then head hunted by Kino for her flare, talent and appetite for cocktails! There the seed was sown and they promptly set their sights on world domination and Monkey Bars were born.
